Care for the NHS Eastleigh

Eastleigh Labour Party members were out in force in Eastleigh town centre for the National Care for the NHS day.

Thanks to the support of local people, in less than 3 hours we collected over 100 signatures on a petition calling for Theresa May to give the NHS the funding it needs now.

Under the Tories our NHS is underfunded and understaffed.

  • Worst NHS deficits on record - £2.45 billion.
  • Around 3.9 million people are now on the English waiting list to start treatment.
  • 1.8 million people waited four or more hours in A&E last year - up over 400 percent since 2010.
  • One in four patients have to wait a week or more to see or speak to a GP or nurse, or don't get an appointment at all.

Labour created the NHS to care for us all, now it's time to care for the NHS.

If you missed us on Saturday and would like to add your name to the petition you can do so at labour.org.uk/nhs
