Education Not Segregation

Education Not SegregationLocal members of the party were out on the streets of Eastleigh taking part in the national campaign against Theresa May’s proposal for the re-introduction of Grammar schools.

Grammar schools were mainly phased out in the 1980s as it was fairly conclusive that the 1 out of 4 children that passed the test at 11 were from a richer background.

In the Labour Party we believe all children are important and therefore we should have a fully resourced comprehensive education system so that no child gets left behind.
