Jill Payne selected as Labour Candidate for Eastleigh

Jill has lived and worked in central  Eastleigh for the past 11 years. She lives with her partner and has two adult sons.  Jill works full time as a cashier at one of the banks in Eastleigh where she is also a Unite trade union workplace representative.

Jill previously lived in London where she actively campaigned for the Labour Party and became involved locally after the 2015 general election.

Jill says: "I am a supporter of socialist policies for a fairer society and a redistribution of wealth through increased taxation on those most able to pay. Locally I am working very hard with my Labour colleagues to get represented at county and borough levels in order to celebrate and unite our increasingly diverse communities and to promote social justice and environmental issues in all areas of local policy making."
