Meet Ray Bellinger for Bishopstoke

I have lived in Bishopstoke for the past fifteen years. Working most of my career in social care, I am well aware of the challenges that the current situation within health and social care presents at current time. Bringing up a family over the past few years, I understand the pressures that families are under, from trying to get the kids to school on time, battling through the traffic in rush hour, through to juggling a balance in spending time at work, doing chores, and enjoying your families.

Having elderly family members, I'm also aware of the concerns around accessing community facilities, both social and essential services such as medical facilities. The lessening of public transport and the reliance on friends, family and the voluntary sector to provide social access support has become ever more important.

Travelling in the area, as all of us that use the roads know, is increasingly time consuming due to the ever growing congestion. The increase in building, although in many ways progressive when planned well, can also lead to over stretched resources and infrastructure, overcrowded schools, increasing waiting time at the doctors, and queues of stopped traffic on ever busy roads.

There are many issues that our communities face that are of concern to me as I am sure are also of concern to many of you. Equally I am sure that many of you have other concerns that you would like to take up with those that will represent you on the Borough Council.

From environmental responsibility through to better facilities for our young people through to our most senior ones. Your views should be in the minds of those that decide our all our futures when decisions are being made. Talk to us, talk to me. Vote Labour in the upcoming Borough Council election.
